ULAP Head of Projects, Lawrence Trinidad, advocated for more collaborative local health research between academe and local health facilities during the 9th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Steering Committee Meeting held on April 23, 2024, in Metro Manila.

The PNHRS, guided by principles of inclusiveness, participation, quality, equity, and effectiveness under RA 10532 (PNHRS Act of 2013), serves as an integrated national framework for health research in the country. The PNHRS Steering Committee, comprising advisory members, oversees the implementation and harmonization of PNHRS programs and activities.
